    By Guest |

Hosa Technology is pleased to announce the addition of a new, 8-channel sub snake to its line of SH Series 'Little Bro' stage boxes. Featuring a compact, 8-channel junction box for inputs and terminated with 8 robust Hosa XLR connectors in both 25- and 50-foot lengths, this new sub snake provides both performing and studio musicians greater choice when dealing with the never ending challenge imposed by cable clutter.

For years, drummers, percussionists, and other musicians who mic their instruments have had to contend with the hassle of sorting out a "snake's nest" of cables. When it comes to running multiple lines across the room or stage to a mixing console, there is no easier—and safer—solution than using a sub snake. With Hosa's SH Series, the right combination of channels and cable lengths is within reach!

Priced well within the reach of pros and novices alike, the new Hosa 'Little Bro' 8-channel sub snake (SH-8X0) combines a small footprint and superb versatility—dramatically limiting cable clutter on the stage and in the studio. This unit offers eight XLR sends—perfect for miking drum kits, keyboards, and small combos. Featuring robust, metal construction built to last a lifetime, the junction box provides side-mounted XLR input connections that are designed to reduce stress on the XLR connectors. With Hosa's Pro Connectors on the box and fanout, this exceptional sub snake's XLR terminations can easily be changed using Hosa's extensive selection of XLR adaptors to convert each channel for a variety of applications. The SH-8X0 is available in both 25- and 50-foot length.

Since the 1980's, Hosa has provided cost-effective, high-quality audio snakes with the terminations and lengths required most by home and commercial recordists as well as gigging musicians. In addition to the new SH-8X0, the SH Series encompasses the 'Little Bro' SH-6X2 sub snake that features six XLR sends and two TRS returns, which may be used as a headphone out and a line out. Alternatively, these may be used as two separate stereo monitor feeds. And, of course, Hosa XLR to TRS cables may be used to convert one of the returns to an additional send, creating a 7X1 configuration. The SH-6X2 sub snake is available in 20-, 30-, and 50-foot lengths. Additionally, Hosa's SH Series stage boxes include 8-, 12-, 16-, 24-, and 32-channel configurations available in lengths ranging from 25 to 150 feet.

The new Hosa SH-8X0 sub snake carries an MSRP of $115 for the 25-foot length and $150 for the 50-foot length. The product is currently available and shipping.
