  • Hosa Technology Announces Da-Cappo Micro Microphones Now Shipping

    Hosa Technology, a leading innovator of analog and digital connectivity solutions for the modern musician and audio/video professional and distributor of Da-Cappo Micro Microphones throughout the Americas, announces that the Da-Cappo DA12 Single-ear microphone, the DA04 Lavaliere microphone, and the DA11 "The Stick" microphone are now shipping.

    The essence of a quality microphone is its capsule and this is, without question, among Da-Cappo's finest attributes. Utilizing a water-resistant, European designed 2.5 mm diameter capsule, these Omni directional microphones deliver extremely natural sounding, full 20 Hz &mdash 20 kHz frequency response with a rich low end, articulate midrange, and pristine, high frequency performance. The capsule also provides superb EMI (electro-magnetic interference) protection. Of particular note, the capsule is water resistant and, hence, impervious to perspiration or rain — making these microphones ideal for performers and broadcasters who, for example, must routinely endure the heat generated by stage lighting systems.

    Currently, the Da-Cappo microphones utilize one of two available capsules. The specifications for each capsule are identical with the exception that one has a 10 dB lower sensitivity rating. This capsule is often specified by broadcast professionals who require the extra headroom provided by a capsule with lower sensitivity.

    The DA12 Single-ear Microphone

    The Da-Cappo DA12 features the company's European designed 2.5 mm diameter capsule for full frequency audio performance. This microphone incorporates a radical new earpiece design that can be adjusted to suit smaller or larger ears and includes an adjustable boom length to suit different faces and applications. The system package includes a lavaliere style mic clip to secure the cable to one's collar behind the head, a zippered leatherette microphone case, a cable, a cable clip, a wind sock, and a wireless adaptor of one's choice.

    The DA04 Lavaliere Microphone

    The Da-Cappo DA04 lavaliere style microphone employs the company's European designed 2.5 mm diameter capsule. Available in both beige and black, the DA04 has the same carbon Kevlar outer shield on the cable. With the microphone's crisp vocal response, its water resistant design, and its flexible adaptor system, this microphone is proving popular with professional broadcasters and the theatrical community. The microphone system includes a cable and a wireless adaptor of one's choice.

    The DA11 "The Stick" Microphone

    Specially developed for theatrical applications, the DA11 utilizes the same 2.5mm diameter European-designed capsule as the DA12 and DA04 microphones. In addition to its superb sounding, water resistant capsule, "the Stick" features a long stem that can be easily (and carefully) bent to fit many theater applications such as wig weaving and for sewing into costumes. The DA-11 is available in black or beige as well as -35 dB and -45 dB sensitivity configurations.
