Hagstrom announces the new Super Swede Tremar Special Edition at this year's NAMM show. Utilizing 3 of Hagstrom's new H90 pickups and a custom pickup selection system, the new Super Swede Tremar Special Edition achieves incredible tones that echo multiple genres and guitar styles while forging new sonic territory. The three new H90 pickups, middle pickup reverse wound, are spec'd and custom wound slightly hotter than traditional P90 pickups, offering the elegance and dynamics of a single coil with the warmth and aggressive behavior of a humbuckers. The neck and middle position H90 pickups output at 9.5k while the bridge position puts out a beefier 12k. The stronger bridge pickup provides for a musical blend with the other pickups while also offering high octane leads. The new Super Swede Tremar Special Edition features 3 volume knobs, one for each pickup, and a 6-way pickup selector. This set up provides for an incredible number of tonal options. The pickup selector is similar to the 5-way selector on a strat plus the 6th option of all pickups on simultaneously. This pickup and selector configuration allows the guitarist to dial in slightly more aggressive strat tones, while the 6th "all on" position with the middle volume turned down will awaken a tele reminiscent voice as well. With the longer 25.5" scale neck, traditional single cutaway Mahogany backed, maple capped body, black gloss finish, and Tremar hardware, the new Super Swede Tremar Special Edition is a site to behold, and the 3 H90 pickups and selector system gives this guitar a distinguished tonality that is exciting and inspirational.
