Shane Gibson and Peter DiStefano Rock with Overloud's New TH2
At next week's NAMM show, the ILIO booth (Hall A, 6728) will play host to two well known guitar axe-men long known for their contributions to progressive, metal, alt-rock, and TV/FILM music. Shane Gibson and Peter DiStefano will be showing their skills using TH2, the new guitar effects plug-in from Overloud.
Peter DiStefano is an internationally known guitarist, songwriter, composer and producer. His list of credits is extensive, and he's best known for his involvement in the alternative-rock band "Porno for Pyros". Peter has released seven solo albums, and is now working on his eighth—all featuring his complex and daring guitar style. Using fresh concepts in collaboration with other artists such as Harry Gregson-Williams, Peter Murphy, Michael Peter Balzary (a.k.a. "Flea"), and Eric Avery, Peter is producing a new and evolving sound. His unique guitar style is featured in many film scores such as "The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian", "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion The Witch and the Wardrobe", "Gone Baby Gone", and the "Shrek" trilogy, as well as numerous other movies and TV scores.
At times blistering and poly-rhythmic, at other times atmospheric and graceful, Shane Gibson is a highly diverse and accomplished musician. After graduating from Berklee College of Music (having attended on a "Berklee's Best" guitarist scholarship), Shane recorded his feature CD, "Mr. Stork", which got his first label attention. Since then, he has worked for the band "KISS," and at Immergent Records. In 2007, he joined forces with Jonathan Davis of KoRn for his solo record/tour, as well as the band KoRn—touring the world, playing with them until August of 2010. Shane also recorded all of the guitars on a recent album from the world renowned Shenkar. Currently, he's focusing on his main projects: stOrk (an instrumental metal band with European drummer, Thomas Lang), Schwarzenator (a concept metal band), and DeFable (a dark story concept band with singer/composer ERiKA SiREN).
During the NAMM Show in Anaheim, both performers will appear at the ILIO booth, number 6728 in Hall A at the Overloud stand. Peter DiStefano will appear on Friday and Saturday from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Shane Gibson will appear on Friday and Saturday from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
TH2 by Overloud is the follow-up product to their critically acclaimed TH1, and builds upon its feature list by adding authorized models of the highly-prized Randall® and Brunetti® amps and heads, in addition to dozens of additional presets, pedals, cabinets, and other modeled elements. It retails for $299.
