    By Guest |

Every talented person reaches a point when their skills begin to surpass the capabilities of their studio. But for one lucky person that's all about to change. The winner of the Guitar Center, Inc. (Nasdaq:GTRC) May contest promotion, titled "A $25,000 Studio Makeover" presented by the Harman Pro Group, will get the studio upgrade of a lifetime including everything they will need to take their career to the next level.

In addition to an Apple 20-inch iMac computer with Apple Logic recording software, the Harman Professional Group will provide a wide-array of world-class professional recording gear from its leading audio brands including AKG microphones, dbx Professional signal processing, Lexicon signal processing and JBL Professional monitors.

"The collaboration between Harman and Guitar Center on this unique contest not only reflects the synergy that our two companies bring to the world of MI and pro audio, but shows together we are helping musicians achieve their dreams," stated Darren Feldman, Guitar Center Director of Partnership Marketing.

"Not only are we very excited about this promotion, but the manner in which one enters couldn't be more true to the theme of the contest." states John Larabee, National Accounts Director for the Harman Pro Group. "Making the video submission will call upon the entrant's creativity and passion for their production and those participants are precisely the customer this contest is geared towards. Although Harman is known as a leader in touring sound, the lineup of gear for this contest - microphones from AKG, signal processing from Lexicon and other equipment associated with high-end studio recording -- shows just how comprehensive a company that Harman really is. We're glad to work so closely with GC on this contest."

Entrants to the "A $25,000 Studio Makeover" presented by Harman Pro Group simply go to the Guitar Center website, click on the designated contest link (www.guitarcenter.com/harman) and follow the instructions. Each entrant will be entitled to submit one entry, which will consist of an original "video diary" in .MOV (QuickTime) format, up to 10 minutes in length, that chronicles a typical day in their studio, including a virtual tour, as well as their thoughts on their gear and key influences in their career.

No purchase is necessary to enter, all it takes is passion and ambition. The contest is open to all musicians, engineers and producers with their own home studio. The month-long promotion, which commences May 1 and ends May 31, 2007, will culminate with the winner announced in mid-June.
