Following the recent success of their Class A"Goldtone" combos, the Gibson Guitar Corporation is pleased to introduce the "Super Goldtone" models - two combos, a head and a unique cabinet that significantly extend the range and expands on the original "Goldtone" concept.

The motivation behind the three original "Goldtone" combos was the desire to produce a series of simple but versatile amplifiers with the purest tone possible. The "Super Goldtone"s adhere closely to this thinking, with 100% valve signal paths throughout, but offer extra versatility with a new two channel preamp. The two independent channels each feature Boost and separate reverb controls to allow the user to set-up distinct clean and dirty sounds, each available at a 'normal' and boosted volume. A series/parallel effects loop also allows the opportunity to hook up to external processors in the most appropriate fashion.

While the new preamp is common to all three "Super Goldtone" amplifiers, power output and speaker configurations vary. The GA-30RVs 30 watts of Class A power is delivered through 1x10" and 1x12" Celestion speakers, for a tone that's both bright and deep, with a fantastically tight response. Its bigger brother, the GA-60RV is of more traditional 2x12" design, and ideal for bigger gigs where its Class A/B power can be fully appreciated. The GA-30RVH head, essentially the same amplifier as the GA-30RV combo, finds its perfect partner in the unusual and striking "Super Goldtone" cabinet, with its combination of 10" and 12" speakers. The cabinets pair of 10" Celestion drivers occupy the open backed top section of the cab, while the two 12's are closed in at the bottom. This "best of both worlds" approach really brings an extra, unique tonal dimension to the "Super Goldtone" cabinet.

Aesthetically, the "Super Goldtone" range is very much in keeping with the original "Goldtone" combos and now features cloth grills. The handsome brown buffalo finish and gold hardware is still very much in evidence and contributes to the "Super Goldtones" distinctive 'modern-retro' feel.
