  • G & L Introduces Updated Comanche Six As Comanche Studio VI Electric Guitar

    By Guest |

In response to public demand, G&L has called on the services of its Custom Creations Department for the reintroduction of the Comanche Six, now updated as the Comanche Studio VI.

This guitar features G&L's Magnetic Field Design Z-coil pickups, regarded for their robust single-coil tones without the 60 cycle hum typical of conventional single-coil pickups. Each coil is composed of two coils, one for the upper three strings with another for the lower three. Additionally, the coils are staggered such that low and high frequencies are accentuated, contributing to the richly textured tones of the instrument.

Like the original, the Comanche Studio VI offers individual control of each coil in the pickup via a 3-way mini-toggle switch per pickup. Each pickup also has its own on/off switch enabling any combination of the three pickups to be activated, or all three to be shut down for total silence without unplugging the guitar.

Featuring a swamp ash body, gun oil tint maple neck with polished glossy finish, medium jumbo frets, Schaller locking tuners, Graph Tech self lubricating nut, and G&L Dual Fulcrum tremolo bridge, the Comanche Studio VI is available in two colour combinations: Honeyburst with maple fingerboard or Tobacco with rosewood fingerboard, both with pearl pickguards. Only 50 will be made of each.
