Future Retro has announced their latest synthesizer design, the Revolution. A true analog monophonic hardware synthesizer with an easy to use step-based digital sequencer (with 256 pattern locations and 16 song locations), analog and DSP effects processing, and various interfacing for controlling MIDI, CV/Gate, and Din Sync devices.

The Revolution was designed to accurately recreate the TB303 sound and includes a sequencer with realtime editing of all patterns while the unit plays. Features include the ability to transpose, time shift, loop, shuffle timing, copy/paste patterns, multiple pattern cueing, forward or reverse playback of patterns, and our new Remix feature which provides 256 variations of each pattern you program (that's more than 65,000 patterns right out of the box). This new unit also sends and responds to program change messages for remotely selecting patterns or patches in external MIDI devices.

The Revolution also provides CV and Gate outputs for controlling other analog synthesizers, MIDI IN/OUT/THRU, as well as a Din Sync output for syncing up pre-MIDI equipment.

An external input is available for processing external sounds through the filter, and DSP effects section. And a CV input allows external voltages to modulate the filter's cutoff frequency. The DSP effects section provides 24 bit preset stereo effects, and a dedicated analog distortion stage is also available.

    Price: $650.
