This summer, Fender adds Digital Signal Processing (DSP) to its line of entry-level amplifiers, the FM Series.

Both the new FM 15DSP and FM 25DSP offer a range of different amp voices and effects with an easy to use interface that allow players to switch from rock to blues, or metal to acoustic-electric simply with the twist of a knob. They both feature two-channel operation, with Channel #1 delivering the signature Fender "clean" tone.

Channel #2 features an Amp Type selector that allows players to quickly dial in one of sixteen different amp tones, including Fender Tweed, Fender Blackface, Fender Hot Rod, Fender Metalhead, British Combo, British Stack and Jazz Combo. Additionally, an Acoustic Simulator offers convenient acoustic-electric tone on demand.

Each new model comes with fifteen on-board digital effects, including Reverb, Delay, Tremolo, Chorus, Flange, and various combinations, all designed by Fender's world-class team of engineers in Scottsdale, Arizona. An auxiliary input is included for playing along with CD, MP3, or other source material, and a headphone output is included for silent practice.

The FM 15DSP is a 15Watt combo with an 8" Fender Special Design speaker, and the FM 25DSP is a 25Watt combo with a 10" Fender Special Design speaker. Each comes with a black control panel, black vinyl covering and grille cloth, and chrome hardware.

Both new Fender FM Series amplifiers will begin shipping worldwide in August. US MSRP for the FM 15DSP is $249.99, and $330.00 for the FM 25DSP.
