    By Guest |

Fishman announces that Fender will be using Fishman® preamps with built-in tuners for all Fender acoustic guitars with onboard electronics.

Fender acoustic-electric guitars using Fishman include the "Dirty Donny Franken-Bucket," T-Bucket 400CE, and Sonoran SCE models. The "Franken-Bucket" guitar, with features a Fishman Presys™ preamp system, was created in collaboration with hot rod and skateboard artist "Dirty" Donny Gillies. It has a laminated spruce top with scalloped X bracing, laminated mahogany neck and sides, ivory neck and body binding and laminated mahogany neck with a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard.

The T-Bucket 400CE equipped with a Fishman Isys III preamp and features a natural finish flame maple top, back and sides, scalloped X bracing, and an inlaid Fender "F" and pinstriping motif at the 12th fret, designed by noted graphic artist and rockabilly musician Vince Ray.

Described as "a blast from the past Fender pays homage to the groovy exotic-wood guitars of the 60s," the new Sonoran '67 Limited also has a Fishman Isys III preamp/tuner system, along with a laminated milkwood back and sides for "a classic exotic look," scalloped X bracing and a solid rosewood bridge plate. Rob Ketch, Fishman's VP of OEM Sales said, "We are very fortunate to have a long term and high quality relationship with Fender. We are excited about working with Jim Bryant and the entire Fender team. We want to bring out the best in these instruments when plugged in. The new Fishman-equipped Fender guitars represent incredible performance and value for the player."
