    By Guest |

The ESI Dr. DAC nano features a headphone amplifier, line output and optical digital output all via a single output combo connector. ESI announces shipping of Dr. DAC nano, one of the smallest USB driven interfaces. It features a headphone amplifier, line output and optical digital output all via a single output combo connector. The very stylish Dr. DAC nano comes in a really compact aluminum case. It provides 2 output channels via both analog and a digital optical S/PDIF connection. The analog output features a high quality DAC that works with up to 24-bit/96kHz and can easily drive any decent headphone. The digital output features an optical miniplug connector. Dr. DAC nano works under Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 as well as Mac OS X even without the installation of any driver software – that means perfect Plug & Play! "After releasing our UGM96 guitar interface last year at NAMM, we have been asked if we can make something that is even smaller… well, we did!" says Claus Riethmüller, Managing Director of ESI Audiotechnik GmbH. Dr. DAC nano is available in North America beginning January 2010. The MSRP is $99.99 USD. Visit ESI Audiotechnik at the 2010 NAMM show, booth #6832
