Logic Control is the expandable hardware remote control system for Logic Audio 5, jointly developed by Emagic and Mackie Designs.

Logic Control is the base unit of the system. The perfect partner for all Logic Audio workstations. It provides hands-on control over hundreds of MIDI and audio functions, including the all-new automation system in Logic Audio 5. It offers simultaneous control over multiple parameters of software instruments and plug-ins for unmatched realtime creativity.

The response time of the premium Penny & Giles motorized, 1024 step, touch-sensitive digital/optical faders - a Mackie exclusive - is lightning fast.

Logic Control is automatically recognized by Logic Audio 5. All of Logic's audio channels are reflected by the eight-channel Logic Control, and can be accessed via Bank Switching functions. Dedicated sections including transport controls, cursor keys, automation and function modes ensure optimal interaction with Logic Audio, straight out of the box. For users who wish to customize their Logic Audio workstations, Logic Audio 5 offers the unique ability to freely assign the faders, knobs and switches of the Logic Control to any Logic Audio function accessible as a Key Command. This drag and drop assignment is via an elegant new Controller Assignment window within Logic Audio 5.

The Logic Control system can be extended to incorporate up to 24 physical channels with multiple 8-channel Logic Control XT expansion modules.

Logic Control XT

This is the expansion module for the Logic Control system, which adds a further 8 fader channels. As with the base unit, each channel strip on the Logic Control XT is equipped with record, solo and mute buttons, a motorized 120 mm long fader, assignable knob, and mode switch.
