By Guest |
After extensive testing, E-MU® Systems has announced the release of Windows® Vista® compatible applications and drivers for their popular lines of PCI and CardBus digital audio interfaces.
All E-MU Digital Audio System products (0404 PCI, 1212M, 1820, 1820M, 1616, 1616M) are now compliant with Microsoft's "Works with Windows" guidelines. All E-MU Digital Audio System products now share a unified PatchMix DSP application and driver architecture, PatchMix 2.0, which is now available to all users for free download at the E-MU website.
Four new core DSP algorithms are included in PatchMix 2.0: Multimode EQ, Gate, Reshaper, and the RFX Compressor. The Reshaper allows complete control over the dynamic envelope of a sound. The RFX Compressor includes professional features such as adjustable soft-knee, noise gate, auto-release, maximum compression and negative compression, as well as side-chain capability.
"We are very excited about the arrival of Windows Vista," said Michael Lee, Marketing Manager of E-MU Systems. "E-MU Systems has worked closely with Microsoft to ensure that our end users can continue to utilize Microsoft technologies." Vista drivers for E-MU USB 0202/0404/Tracker Pre will be available very soon.
