Daisy Rock Welcomes Marlana Sheetz of Dawson and Marie to its Artist Roster
By Guest |
Daisy Rock Girl Guitars, the original girl-guitar company, proudly welcomes
singer-songwriter Marlana Sheetz of Dawson and Marie to the Daisy Rock family.
Sheetz captures audiences with her unforgettable folk-tunes on her new Stardust
Retro-H De-Luxe.
Marlana Marie Sheetz and Andrew Dawson Heringer have taken a little of what they
each do best to assemble a catchy and fun contemporary duo. What started as a joke,
has now formulated into an acoustic singer/songwriter duet that simply cannot be
compared to anything else sold in today’s record stores. “Marlana’s fun and
light-hearted spirit captures the essence of Daisy Rock, and we’re so happy that
she’s joined the family!” said Tish Ciravolo, President and Founder of Daisy Rock
Girl Guitars.
In spring of 2008, Heringer approached Sheetz with the idea of producing an album
for her. Without hesitation, Sheetz jumped at the idea and soon the project was
underway. With all seriousness set aside, they decided to create a two-man band
solely for the creation of MySpace purposes. The gag continued and they labeled
themselves as “The Etch-a-Sketchers”.
The response to the project was more than laughable; they found people had quite
enjoyed their lighthearted tunes. The two considered the fact this may not just be a
silly side project. After a quick consensus, they decided to pursue this musical
mission. They initiated a name change and soon after became “Dawson and Marie.”
Their first album is a concept album, revolving around the months of the year.
Copies of Months Vol. 1 can be purchased at their website, iTunes, Amazon and other
digital music sites. For more information about Marlana Sheetz, visit
