Designed for a wide-variety of mobile and fixed sound reinforcement applications, the hallmark of the new LQ Series is incredibly high power handling capability with the ability to maintain clarity, even at extreme power levels. Three models comprise the LQ Series - the LQ-10, LQ-12 and LQ-15. All LQ Enclosures are made from high impact injection molded polypropylene in a trapezoidal shape for easy stacking or cluster formation, and feature extensive ribbing and bracing. The grille utilizes perforated metal protected by a high quality vinyl coating.

The flagship of the new series is the Crest LQ-15 two-way system that features a 15" cast frame woofer with 4" voice coil, water-resistant treated cone and a dust cap for superior environmental stability. Designed for primary sound reinforcement, the LQ-15 has a dispersion pattern of 90 degrees horizontal x 45 degrees vertical. The LQ-15 is capable of handling 1000 Watts of continuous program material (125 dB SPL) with 2000 Watts peak (134 dB SPL). High frequencies are handled by a 2" titanium diaphragm compression driver coupled to a 1" Quadratic Throat Horn which is molded to the cabinet. The frequency response of the LQ-15 is 61 Hz to 18 kHz +/-3 dB. An internal passive crossover features a sophisticated, non-intrusive tweeter protection circuit and an advanced topology crossover with high performance components to provide high power handling and reliability. In addition, the crossover provides driver roll-off and protection, as well as EQ for the woofer and horn. Extremely powerful and efficient for an enclosure its size, the LQ-15 is a trapezoidal design that measures 28.6" x 21.3" x 17.2" (front) and 26.8" x 11.5" x 17.2" (rear) and weighs 56 lbs. The LQ-15 comes standard with two high current 1/4" phone jacks and two 4-pin Neutrik jacks connected in parallel for signal input and daisy-chaining capability. A 4-pin Neutrik switching jack is provided for biamping. The LQ-15 comes standard with 4 mounting inserts top and 4 bottom plus one built-in stand mount. The LQ-15 is available in dark gray or off-white.

The LQ-12 is a two-way system featuring a 12" cast frame woofer with 4" voice coil, water-resistant treated cone and a dust cap for superior environmental stability. Like the top-of-the-line LQ-15, the new LA-12 is also designed for primary sound reinforcement with a dispersion pattern of 90 degrees horizontal x 45 degrees vertical. The LQ-12 is capable of handling 1000 Watts of continuous program material (125 dB SPL) with 2000 Watts peak (134 dB SPL). High frequencies are handled by a 2" titanium diaphragm compression driver coupled to a 1" Quadratic Throat Horn that is molded to the cabinet. The frequency response of the LQ-12 is 76 Hz to 18 kHz +/-3 dB. Featuring the same crossover as the LQ-15, the LQ-12 is a trapezoidal enclosure that measures a compact 23.7" x 17.8" x 14.3" (front) and 22.1" x 10" x 14.3" (rear) and weighs 45 lbs. The LQ-12 also comes standard with two high current 1/4" phone jacks and two 4-pin Neutrik jacks connected in parallel for signal input and daisy chaining capability. A 4-pin Neutrik switching jack is provided for biamping. For easy mounting, the LQ-12 has 4 mounting inserts top and 4 bottom and a built-in stand mount. The LQ-12 is available in dark gray or off-white.

The LQ-10 is a trapezoidal two-way enclosure comprised of a 10" heavy-duty long throw woofer with a water-resistant treated cone and dust cap and a 1.4" titanium diaphragm compression driver coupled to a 1" Quadratic Throat Horn, that is molded to the cabinet. The LQ-10 has a dispersion pattern of 90 degrees horizontal x 45 degrees vertical. The LQ-10 is capable of handling 350 Watts of continuous program material (117 dB SPL) and 700 Watts peak (125 dB SPL). The frequency response of the LQ-10 is 74 Hz to 18 kHz +/-3 dB. An internal passive crossover with the same features and specs as the LQ-15 and LQ-12 is provided. Compact and portable, the LQ-10 measures 19.5" x 14" x 13.125" (front) and 17.7" x 8" x 13.125" (rear) and weighs 30 lbs. Two 4 pin Neutrik jacks connected in parallel are standard for signal input and daisy chaining capability as well as stand mount and top & bottom flying point inserts.

The new Crest LQ Series speakers are available in March 2001.
