CDR-07 Professional Rewritable DJ CD Recorder/Scratch CD Player

Vestax announces the new CDR-07 Professional Rewritable DJ CD Recorder / Scratch CD Player, now on display at Booth #6474 at the Winter NAMM show in Anaheim, CA January 19-22, 2006. The CDR-07 can record all types of music and sound to CDs and includes performance features such as ±100% tempo control, master tempo, scratch mode, cue mode, sampler, mp3 read, and built-in effects. Play, record and copy, all in one piece.

The Vestax CDR-07 can be used to record music for a DJ performance, or to record the DJ performance itself. Imagine being able to provide live DJ sets to fans within seconds of the encore!

The analog input/output section comes with a full range of connection options. Simply plug a mic, turntable, CD player, MP3 player, electric guitar, bass guitar, or cassette deck directly into MIC/INST or PHONO/LINE input and record. Output comes with MONITOR OUT and headphone connections to monitor the analog input sound, separate from the normal LINE OUT.

The CDR-07's digital connections include COAXIAL digital input/output (IEC60958 TYPE II) and DIGITAL THROUGH/OUT. The digital output converts analog inputs on the CDR-07 to digital signals allowing DJs to record their analog sources direct to external digital devices.

Pitch ranges are selectable from (0, ±6, 10,50, 100%), equipped with a 100mm stroke pitch fader for fine adjustments and long mixes. The JOG wheel has ±10% key control that allows you to adjust the sound in the mix, and to give vocal sounds a harmonized effect. Master Tempo changes the tempo of the track without changing the pitch and provides a range of ±6,10 and 50%. Master tempo can also be used to record from instruments and mics to make training tracks. A feature celebrated by mobile DJs is the CDR-07's ability to save up to 100 User Memory Locations for track lists, CUE points, LOOP points, master tempo, play mode, and TAP. The data recalls instantly when the same CD is played again.

The CDR-07's on-board sampler provides up to 8 seconds of sampling, with the ability to layer the sound over the current playing track. CD's can even be changed without fading the outro by using the sampling loop function. 4 cue points can be set out via 2 means of selection (last start position or pause position). CUE 1,2,3 can be played instantly with the CUE play mode, just like using a sampler.

The Vestax CDR-07 also provides built in Flanger, Filter and Digital Delay (max 3.5sec) effects. With EFFECT SYNC, the auto BPM counter counts the BPM and synchronizes the effects to the beat!
