Cakewalk(r) Announces FREE SONAR(tm) X1b Update for SONAR X1 Producer, Studio, Essential, V-Studio 700 Customer

Cakewalk, the world's leading developer of powerful and easy to use products for music creation and recording, today announces a free update for SONAR X1 Producer, Studio, Essential and V-Studio 700. All registered SONAR X1 customers can download the free SONAR X1b update at Cakewalk.com. The SONAR X1a update was a general maintenance update released shortly after SONAR X1 began shipping. SONAR X1b, in addition to usability enhancements based largely on customer feedback,includes focus on overall performance and stability. In addition there are V-Vocal, Audio Snap, V-Studio 700, V-Studio 20 updates and control support for the Roland JUNO-Gi. Also included are updated localized French, German, Spanish, and Italian documentation which are available to customers as separate downloads.

SONAR X1b Highlights include:

• Many usability enhancements including graphical optimizations for faster UI response
• Additional AVX/SSE2 optimizations targeting floating point mix engine performance for the Intel Sandy Bridge processor family
• Dedicated control surface support for V-Studio 700 and improved control support for the VS-20
• Improved control support for the Roland JUNO-Gi Synth
• Updated localized French, German, Spanish, and Italian documentation
