DigiTech announced that the BNX3 Bass Guitar Digital Workstation is now shipping. The BNX3 combines a modeling bass guitar processor with a digital 8-track recorder, which delivers everything bass musicians need to perform, practice, write and produce songs, all in a single unit. Now bassists don't have to break their creative vibe to capture those elusive hot licks and sudden creative ideas.

The BNX3's built-in digital 8-track recorder features hands-free operation so you can focus on creating and recording music instead of pushing buttons or messing with mixers, cables and patch bays. Bassists can record, playback, auto-arm the next track, or delete tracks, all without touching a knob. The BNX3 also lets bassists save tunes on SmartMedia cards, export tracks to your computer, and polish them and burn a CD with the included Cakewalk and Pyro software. Bassists can also import tracks into the BNX3 and jam along with CDs, MP3s, .WMA and .WAV files.

The BNX3 utilizes DigiTech's Multi-Modeling which lets bassists create new sounds by combining any two amp and cabinet models from a selection of 17 popular bass amp models and 12 popular bass cabinet models. The BNX3 also contains 10 distortion stompbox models; 4 guitar amp and 7 guitar cabinet models; 65 user/65 factory presets; mono, stereo and bi-amp output modes, JamMan Delay Looper, Drum Machine, Chromatic tuner, balanced XLR mic input, and much more. The BNX3 studio-quality effects are designed for bass and include Fretless Simulator, dual-band Compressor with variable crossover, programmable bass synth voices, Chorus EQ'd for bass, as well as reverbs, delays, Whammy and Wah, and others.

The BNX3 follows in the footsteps of DigiTech's popular GNX3 and is the latest edition to DigiTech's successful GNX series of floor processors, which also includes the GNX1 and GNX2. It has a list price of $719.95 and MAP of $499.95.
