  • Beyerdynamic Debuts TG-X 930 Condenser Vocal Microphone

    By Guest |

Beyerdynamic, a leading manufacturer of exceptional microphones, headphones and wireless microphone systems, has recently added the TG-X 930 condenser microphone to its TourGroup line. Based on the capsule construction of the company's popular MC 930 studio condenser microphone, the TG-X 930 provides the sensitivity of a condenser in combination with the TG-X touring line's exceptional durability.

Ideal for close-micing situations, the proximity effect of the TG-X 930's cardioid capsule was compensated to achieve a neutral transmission of low frequencies. To ensure an exceptional top-end, the mic features a slight treble boost. Its maximum sound pressure level is 150 dB SPL. The TG-X 930 also includes a low internal noise level, offering users an extremely high dynamic range.

"Sound quality is a key element to every audio application, but in the case of live performances, durability becomes paramount," explains Paul Froula, beyerdynamic's Pro Audio Business Manager. "With the TG-X 930, users have the sensitivity and accuracy of a studio microphone that is able to withstand the rugged environments often posed by live performances and touring situations."

Like the company's Opus 900 wireless series, the TG-X 930 comes equipped with a stainless steel grill with multilayer gauze and a second inner grill to deliver excellent protection against "pop sounds." In addition, the mic grill structure improves rear-attenuation, helping to prevent feedback as well as making the mic easy to clean.

The internal structure of the microphone's transducer system provides protection against internal moisture, a problem typically encountered with vocal mics. To compliment any stage image, the turned brass housing of the TG-X 930 comes in matte black or satin nickel-plated finish.
