Bad Cat Amplifiers is now shipping its new, Mark Sampson designed Mini Cat. This diminutive amp features a 12AX7 preamp coupled to a single EL-84 power amp to develop considerably loud volumes; upwards of 4 -- 5 Watts eminating from a 10", alnico magnet Jensen speaker. The Mini Cat comes in at a hefty 19 pounds, standing 16 inches tall.

The multi-use Mini Cat is suitable for performance play, pro and home recording, studio and live monitoring, practice, and can also be used like a tube preamp pedal to tube-up or overdrive other amps: LINE OUT = -10@10K, HEADPHONE OUT = 1/8" stereo, and even the Jensen speaker can be unplugged without defeating other features.

The Mini Cat is presented in heavy-duty cab construction similar to the rest of the line and includes a genuine leather handle with ornate silver buckles. Control panel includes Volume, Bass, Treble, and Master to harness CLEAN response or appreciably fat overdrive GAIN. Normal stock vinyl color is Black though check with your Bad Cat dealer for limited availability and lead times for color options.

Comments Mark Sampson, "The pocket rocket Mini Cat is designed to provide high-end Class A tone with ample connectivity to suit any venue. In addition to performance play, you can direct mic the wide-frequency speaker or go direct to desk. You can also use the speaker or LINE or HEADPHONE out's for monitoring. Disconnect the speaker on the back panel whenever you like. Use the Mini Cat just like a tube preamp pedal to tone reference or overdrive another amp or use it as a close proximity controller to feed your backstage or house system."

Dimensions:16" H x 14"W x 7"D, Weight: 19 lbs., MSRP: $869
