Avid® plans to preview a number of new technology offerings that will advance the craft of live sound mixing at the upcoming PLASA 2010 show. The company will demonstrate new VENUE system capabilities that improve live recording workflows with Pro Tools®, AVB networking and remote control, facilitating mixing, archiving, and setup.

Avid will also offer a series of panel discussions and master classes designed for customers to obtain valuable insights into using VENUE Virtual Soundcheck and how to enhance creativity by taking full advantage of plug-ins, and tips and tricks from the field. Hosts for these sessions include: Robert Scovill, sr. market specialist for Avid and FOH for Tom Petty; Chris Madden, FOH engineer for Pink and Joe Cocker; Robb Allan, solutions development, live sound for Avid, and FOH for Coldplay and Massive Attack; and representatives from Waves, Softube and Sonnox.
