    MORE INFORMATION:

New, exclusive technology previews and VENUE functionality that will be on display include:

    • A VENUE Software technology preview, which will enhance integration between Pro Tools, and VENUE live sound systems. Customers will experience how intelligent interaction between VENUE systems and Pro Tools can improve live recording, virtual soundchecks and archiving.
    • VENUE and AVB integration, which will showcase Avid’s continued support for the AVnu Alliance and its goal of developing universal AVB (audio/video bridging) networking standards to enhance the live event experience. Customers can see the results of close cooperation between Harmon and Avid with the presentation of an Avid AVB interface card in a VENUE stage rack transmitting audio to a Crown amplifier over AVB in a demo that also integrates Lab X networking technology and a Marvell Ethernet switch.
    • An ECx Ethernet Option card demonstration, which will show how customers can control all VENUE functions over a wireless network, enabling them to step away from the console to adjust their mixes. Customers can learn how to use an Apple iPad touch screen to access detailed areas of the VENUE user interface to control mixing parameters that include: faders, patching, plug-ins and snapshots.

Avid will also offer a series of panel discussions and master classes designed for customers to obtain valuable insights into using VENUE Virtual Soundcheck and how to enhance creativity by taking full advantage of plug-ins, and tips and tricks from the field.
