Amit Chatterjee to Host Exclusive ICMP Guitar Masterclass

The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance (ICMP) is excited to welcome visiting faculty member and world-renowned guitarist Amit Chatterjee for an exclusive masterclass at their facilities in Kilburn, London on Monday 17^th May.

A guitarist and musician of international repute, Amit currently performs and records with Joe Zawinul, both as part of his regular touring band and in his orchestral work with the Vienna Symphony Orchestra. He has also worked with Dave Liebman, Eric Johnson and performs in many varied ensembles with artists as diverse as Lincoln Goines, Mike Clarke, Pete Locket and Badal Roy.  Amit will bring his inspiring insights into contemporary music to students, as well as perform with members of the ICMP faculty.

Amit is in the UK for this year’s London Guitar Festival, being held on the 15^th and 16^th May at the Southbank Centre.  He will be giving an exclusive performance as part of the festivities to celebrate one of the world’s most versatile instruments.
