  • Alvarez Adds New Models to Extend Their Range Including New Fusion Series

    By Guest |

Renowned for building some of the world's finest acoustic and acoustic/electric guitars, Alvarez announces a host of fantastic new guitars to substantially extend its range and provide more choice and options to discerning guitarists.

The all-new FCC and FCF models are part of the Alvarez Fusion Series, which feature onboard electronics and sport a slim body, reducing fatigue during long gigs. The new models take this concept further, featuring ultra-slim chambered bodies that retain the true tonal character provided by the select tonewood top. There are two classical, nylon string versions available with spruce or cedar tops and two folk, steel string models with natural select spruce, quilted maple or koa tops.

The innovative FCC and FCF models feature Fishman Aura IC pickup, which provides all the technological benefits of the renowned Aura series in a much slimmer design. Players can access four different Acoustic Sound Images created using a range of vintage and contemporary microphones in a controlled recording environment. The FCC's will be available in March and have an MSRP of $1,499.99 for each model. The FCF's will be available in April and have an MSRP ranging from $1,499.99 to $1,999.99.

Alvarez also announces the expansion of the Artist Series with the first ever bass artist models and upgrades to the Artist Series jumbos. The basses are available with both natural (available in March with an MSRP of $749.99) and black finishes (available in April with an MSRP of $779.99) and the new artist jumbos boast expanded wood options, including maple, bubinga and spalted maple. The Artist Series jumbos are now available and have an MSRP ranging from $649.99 to $899.99.

There's more to come with the announcement of eight new models to the entry level Alvarez Regent Series. With no compromise on quality, the Regent Series puts high quality instruments into the hands of aspiring students and performers with the emphasis on great value for money. Two brand new dreadnoughts (RD010, RD010BK) redefine the concept of a beginner's guitar, along with a folk style version (RF010), each with select spruce tops. Solid spruce tops are common among the new RD410 family and the cutaways (RD4012C, RD4102CBK, RD4102CL) incorporate Fishman AERO electronics for ultimate flexibility. The new Regent Series guitars will be available in January and March with an MSRP ranging from $229.99 to $569.99.

Finally, the flagship Alvarez Masterworks Series sees two new models with a solid spruce top jumbo MJ813BK and solid spruce top dreadnought MD6104. These will be available in March and have an MSRP of $1,129.99 for the MJ813BK and $899.99 for the MD6104.
