  • Allen & Heath Shines At Pro Light & Sound Show

    By Guest |

Allen & Heath's ZED-R16 Firewire recording mixer was awarded a prestigious MIPA (MusikMesse International Press Award) at a recent ceremony, which took place during the Pro Light & Sound show in Frankfurt. More than 100 magazines from around the world voted for their best products of 2008/9, selecting the ZED-R16 as Best Studio Console. The ZED-R16 dedicated recording mixer has generated a huge amount of interest since its launch in June 2008. Allen & Heath also had great success on its stand; there was a buzz in the Xone area where the new entry-level Xone:22 DJ mixer made its European debut, and much interest in the Xone:4D mixer/controller. The compact XB-14 radio broadcast mixer also received an enthusiastic response following its launch, and the new audio interface option cards for the phenomenally popular iLive-T digital mixing series received a lot of attention. Evolved from the successful flagship iLive digital range, the iLive-T Series has all the DSP performance and power of the original iLive in a new lightweight, affordable package. The T Series comprises the fixed I/O iDR-32 and iDR-48 MixRacks and iLive-T80 and iLive-T112 Surface options connected with CAT5 cable. Each rack can be used with either control surface, and all models will be compatible with the existing iLive units. "The stand as a whole was extremely busy for the entire show but we were inundated with visitors who had specifically come to the show to see the new iLive-T Series," explains A&H PR Manager, Vicky Wills. "We were thrilled with the positive response to iLive-T's launch at NAMM but the interest, reaction and feedback in Frankfurt has been astonishing."
