Alfred Releases First Girl's Guitar Method

Alfred Publishing Co, Inc.has released The Girl's Guitar Method, the first complete guitar method written especially for girls.

Tish Ciravolo, the founder and designer of Daisy Rock girl guitars, is the author of the full color book and accompanying enhanced CD.

The method takes a fresh and energetic approach that teaches guitar from a girl's perspective, with a style and design addressing the interests of young women today. The accompanying enhanced CD includes a chord dictionary, a virtual guitar tuner and other features that enable girls to see the music, adjust song tempos and even record themselves playing with a band.

According to industry experts, the female guitar market is growing at an intense pace with the potential of nearly doubling the present $922 million guitar industry. More females are appearing in the Billboard charts, more schools are offering guitar classes, and mainstream press like NBC's Today Show, FOX, ABC News, TIME, People, Newsweek, Lifetime, Oxygen, Cartoon Network, Teen, Seventeen and hundreds of newspaper articles are all inspiring females to start playing guitar.
