  • Alexander Publishing Releases The Street Smart Guide™ to Apple Logic 8

    By Guest |

Alexander Publishing has officially launched its new Street Smart Guide™ series starting with the 330-page Street Smart Guide™ to Apple Logic 8, an easy to follow guide organized into five sections with 37 progressive lessons, four-color screen shots detailing procedures step-by-step, and available in a downloadable PDF format. "I decided to go PDF because first, four-color screen shots are better teaching aids and second, because a PDF'ed book allows for near immediate delivery without shipping costs, whether here in the U.S. or internationally," explained author Peter Alexander.

Beta tested by both educators and composers who were either new to Logic 8 or had switched to Logic 8 from other programs, *The Street Smart Guide™ to Apple Logic 8's purpose is teaching the Logic user steps for producing their music including creating a lead sheet they can file for copyright registration. This is first accomplished with a progressive series of lessons and procedures that every Logic user needs to know when sequencing their music. Once these beginning techniques are learned, the second half of the guide teaches the reader about multitimbral setups, recording MIDI to audio, the beginnings of learning how to apply effects and EQ, recording with a single mic, and basic audio editing.

The concluding section covers track naming, fermatas, tuplets, markers, groups, MIDI import and EXS24 import.

The Street Smart Guide™ to Apple Logic 8 is available exclusively at TrueSpec.com http://www.truespec.com for $29.95. Book dimensions are 8.5 x 11. Download size is 22MB. Once ordered, a download link is e-mailed within one business day. A complete table of contents is available at http://www.truespec.com/street-smart-guide-logic-p-1120.html
