Universal Audio today announced the 2-1176, a new Dual Mono/Stereo 1176LN Limiting Amplifier.

The 2-1176 retains all the features and functionality of its ancestor, and switches easily between dual mono and true linked stereo. The 2-1176 builds from the circuit design of UA's 6176 Channel Strip and combines two 1176 channels from that unit with all the same components.

Features of the 2-1176 include:

  • Dual-mono ( independent input and output ), Stereo-Link modes
  • Master Bypass and Master Attack/Release in Stereo-Link
  • Matched side chain FETs for Stereo tracking
  • Same vintage sound, great price performance
