AER (Audio Electric Research) has introduced the 3rd generation of its Compact 60 and has given a facelift to the Amp One Bass Combo.
The Compact-60/3 features a smaller and lighter cabinet (12 mm Finnish birch plywood), representing 15 % reduction in weight while offering the same performance.
The newest version also boasts a slight voicing-modification to the overtones, resulting in an improved response to modern percussive playing styles. Finally, the gig bag included with the version 3 is now sleeker, offering a more professional look.
The new version of the Amp One incorporates AER’s familiar foam grille cover embossed with the company’s logo, as well as a sleek nameplate frame. While the look is different, the versatility, portability, and performance of the Amp One remain unchanged. Boasting a 200 W into 8Ω power amp in conjunction with a 10” speaker, as well as an array of controls and input/output options, the Amp One packs plenty of powerful bass punch into a compact package.
