  1. It's not really lame - it's realistic. If she knew that she ultimately wouldn't be happy, she made the right decision. You may not like it, but it's probably better than ending up with a failed marriage and a couple of kids 5-7 years later.... I think the only "lame" part is living at home until 30 and expecting someone else (through marriage) to pick up where your parents left off and take care of everything for you.
  2. Good luck, I imagine only a small percentage, perhaps less than 1% of the population would be making that kind of money. Great if you can do it doing something you dig. Thanks, I'll probably need all the luck I can get Yes, a very small portion of the population makes that kind of money. At the same time, a very large portion of the population would NEVER want to do the work to make that amount of money.
  3. What to you intend to be working as to make 1m a year? High level finance (investment banking, private equity, etc). I'm currently an analyst at a boutique financial and strategic advisory firm that specializes in entertainment and media. It's a brutal job but I like it. There is plenty of upside and the current pay isn't all that bad either.
  4. I graduated from undergrad almost 2 years ago. When I was in school I already had a good idea of what I'd be making coming out (mostly as I already signed with a firm). Still, my goal coming out of undergrad was $1M/year by age 30-32 (10 years of FT work or less). I'm off to a decent start but living in LA is pretty expensive. I live modestly too (don't scoff due to my 2 amps and 2 guitars lol) and think it's still pretty tough to be in decent financial shape.
  5. Music is just one of several hobbies for me. If I wasn't playing guitar I would probably be doing something else so I wouldn't miss it too much.
  6. oh {censored}, not another dog shooting fiasco! we aren't actually going to shoot his dogs, they are really cool dogs. forgot what breed but they are awesome. its just that the owner is a douche.
  7. jello cake would melt his cold heart my aunt and uncle have a jackass neighbor. he lets his big dogs run all over their property and scare the hell out of my aunt and uncle's two little dogs. i was playing frisbee with my brother out there and the dogs started chasing after me hahaha. this has been going on a long time and next time the dogs are on the property my brother and i are going to shoot airsoft guns at them hahaha
