The logo is called the Ram's Head. Whether it looks like one or not is another story. It's been around since the late sixties. It was painted by an artist friend of Mike Matthews. He just liked it and started using it as the company's logo. Or so I've been told.

I'm guessing it's Pan, or some other dorky mythical forest creature. +1 The answer is somewhere between Greek mythology and Tolkien
