chips, scratches, minor dents, even peeling paint and outright gouges are part of the story of each guitar man, and every guitar is unique and different, and each guitars imperfections are part of what makes that guitar, what it is.

why do you think so many guitarists walk on stage with dinged, scratched, custom, and peeling guitars? because that guitar has character and has been thru something itself, it has become an individual.

buying a guitar with some idea that it is "flawless" or anything thinking its gonna always be "perfect and new" is like trying to photocopy a piece of art work and say youre making art.

the same thing applies to playing and learning music, what do you try to replicate songs exactly, the timing exactly, the vibrato exactly? trying to sound and be someone else? or do you want your voice to be express and to find out what youre about and stand out as your own story. let a guitar get scratched, dinged, and love it for its history and imperfections, youll only get closer to your music and to yourself
