    My main instruments are percussion instruments and drums from around the world, but I really love playing keyboards and guitar too. I started playing drums in my teens (70's) and switched to electronic drums in the late 80's.
    I love music from other countries such as India, China, Turkey, Egypt and Latin America. I own a small recording studio in Southern Oregon mostly for personal reasons, but love helping friends get their music into the ethers. My part time hobby is refurbishing vintage drums and kits. I'm also a sci-fi geek.

    Great article Craig, but I'm still trying to understand how these things work. I've work with several plugin synths that have 16 step sequencers in them, but they all seem to vary in how they're implemented. Maybe some of them are actually arpeggiators.
