  1. you mean Brian Setzer? Earl Slick in Stray Cats? I missed that one.
  2. Sorry to hear that woody. I hope the new dog will provide comfort for your loss. Paws up my friend.
  3. same here. Either that or I'll wait for the next bigger .45 / .410 Judge Electro Harmonix 75 watt pedal lol (hoping they can make a higher wattage pedal with higher headroom BEFORE breakup or no breakup at all. So are 20% off coupons basically a thing of the past? I want to buy an EH .44 magnum pedal but I'd like to get 20% off.
  4. Really like that dark back color. Almost wish they made the full guitar with that color option! So who is selling theirs already?
  5. Any twisted neck "blems" this time or did they learn from the last fall out from that?
  6. same here. Amazed at how much guitar $80 gets you. Love the cosmo black nickel hardware which was primarily why I bought it to use on one of my other guitars. Just got mine in today. No sharp fret ends, action is relatively low, and I can't find a ding on the body anywhere. She does have a little bit of fret buzz on the lower E string, going to set her up properly later. Plugged it in, and (so far) I'm very impressed with the sound... The neck pickup is OK, but the bridge pickups is surprisingly full and well defined! I was expecting a muddy or tinny mess, but the humbucker sings very well through my vibro-champ and thug. These are just first impressions, but I feel it's a bargain for $80 shipped.
  7. cool it actually sounds killer. I'm going to take the leap! You can see videos of the t2 combo version on youtube no talk of any problems
  8. that's the thing the reviews you posted the link to is for the 400 watt T2 and the one on Amazon is the T2HL 100 watt version. The review I read, the guy made clear the T2HL that crapped out on him was the silver painted front with chicken head knobs and a BLUE T2 logo that lights up, not the black panel T2 with the green lit logo (400w T2 head). Apparently they are different enough quality wise for one person. Not sure I want to gamble with close to $400 on something sketchy. I'm pretty sure you wouldn't. Here is 4 reviews at MF I don't see anything worrisome.
  9. Interested in the Randall T2 head since I missed out on the modular 20w head last week. Only thing is the T2 100 watt head I've only found one review and they gave it 2 stars saying they played it for 20 minutes and then the volume diminished to less than a whisper. Turned it off and on and same result. They sent it back and got a replacement and the same problem occurred. Not sure I'd be cool if I got something that craps out after 20 minutes.
  10. How much did Zzounds beat the price by? 10%? A penny? haha
  11. did you call it in or do the online price match quote? The last 4 or 5 times I did the online BEAT THIS PRICE, I got ignored and never heard back from M123. Gibson RD Standard Electric Guitar Ebony is $1499 at Music123. They did price match a SDOTD for me last week. Worth a try for another 80 OFF.
  12. Called m123 to price match the SDOTD Gibson RD and they would match but not beat it. I pointed out their policy that used to have to beat it by 110% and then the current 10% and he put me on hold and then came back saying they can't beat it since it is their sister company which ticked me off as I told him you can't have it both ways. The other day I had a customer service rep on the phone and they couldn't look up my MF order when I called M123. They said they are still "Different" and "Independant" companies under the same umbrella. Now this guy is saying since they are the same company they can't price match themselves. Utter BS!!! I would have asked if he could go for an extra 10-15% off just for asking but I knew after he put me on hold for 5 minutes he'd come back and say the SDOTD was almost too low for them to match as it was and 10% would be under their cost.... So I didn't bother. Still on the fence on whether or not to buy.
  13. Thanks. Wasn't aware the pros were different at all than the BB1/BB2/BB3 but they are similar to a BB1/BB2 set and wax potted. My guess is that it is these http://www.gibson.com/en-us/Divisions/Gibson%20Gear/Pickups/_Burstbucker%20Pro/
  14. Anyone know which BB Pros they use in this? BB1 neck and BB3 bridge perhaps?
  15. Are those things any good? They just look like glorified gig bags with extra seams for $200. What am I missing here? Thats $120 plus ship for the flagship M80 case. Just ordered one.
