  1. Hi Ace, in what way would the neck be warped? Can you get us an image? I would be interested to know, since the Hashimoto guitars were build by a former plane designer with an eye on stability. I happen to have found a G216 classical guitar lately, still have to inspect git for further detail information. Spruce top, rosewood back and sides. Very good condition for it's age ( I think it was made in 1978 according to the serial number on the neck block inside). Just got it today, so I need some time to compare it to my old Yamaha and Takeharu classical guitars. The rosewood has the same looks as the rosewood on my W350.
  2. Behaaave.... I know, too much Hashimoto around these days, everywhere I look I see them lurking... There should be a sub - forum for Hashimoto incrowd. Moderator please??? In the meantime: enjoy!!!
  3. My Hashimoto W350 just got a new friend... a W315, mint condition, scarcely played if ever, popping up at an auction site without picture nor model. I saw: Hashimoto, made the call, and grabbed it. Action a bit too high to my teste, adjusted neck first, put on new strings (had the 30-year old strings still on it), adjusted the saddle, popped in bone pins, and voil
  4. Hello Henry, I got notice you took up this conversation, a while ago indeed. I still play the old W350 regularly, and just a while ago I saw a message on the wed from someone from nearby here in Belgium who was looking for a W350, since he had one in the '70ties which he had sold, and now he wanted to have one again to make up for his poor sounding Martin. I wrote to him, saying I wouldn't let go of mine ( cruel, isn't it??? ). So where did you get hold of yours, and what shape is it in? Mine is still in near mint condition. Kind regards!

  6. I was lucky. Second hand find in Germany. This 1999 A+M S3 has been played, and a lot. But this sound is fingerstyle heaven...
  7. Not in my hands yet... it's waiting in Germany for me to pick it up. Played it a week ago for one hour, hesitated, then bought it when back home. Alluring short trip ahead I'd say... All solid wood Alpine spruce top, rosewood b/s, swietenia neck, ebony fretboard and bridge, 48mm nut (I LOVE the feel of the neck!!!), wood bindings, florentine cutaway (not standard), shaller tuners with ivoroid knobs, Rare Earth installed. Abalone AM signature on headstock. Huge sound, flawless finish. Visit http://www.albert-mueller.de/, it's worth it. I'm having sleepless nights...
  8. 1996 Furch JV-61 Look at these lines man... quite a figure
  9. Very nice collection there, looks like a life long GAS symptom. I gave it a go for electric guitar once, but soon discovered it wasn't really my kind of thing. So I gave it all away and stuck to acoustics.
  10. Well, here is the family, united for a change: no superduper astonishing gear, but interesting enough to me. A Yamaha classical, a Seagull S6+CW, a Harmony Sovereign 1203 and a F. Hashimoto W350. That suits my tastes for now. Played an Avalon jumbo lately... hmmm.. GAS cure is hard. Play music, have fun.
  11. my latest find: F. Hashimoto W350 dreadnought. Great sound.
  12. Hi, here's my latest baby: Hashimoto W350. The others are less ornate: Seagull S6+CW with LR Baggs element and preamp, Harmony Sovereign 1203, and classic Yamaha guitar from 1972. The W350 stands out as far as the looks are concerned. Have fun!
  13. At the risk of being poooheddd..... I want to post some quality pictures and details of my guitars, but when I try to resize the originals I always end up with verrrrry poor quality pictures. Still your pictures are ok!! How do you do that??? I use IrfanView. What resolution, dimension do you put the .jpg in to? Please some advise. Thank you. Happy music!
  14. Hi, yes, 1 fortunate owner present sirrrr! like I mentioned in my review( see Hashimoto W350 review) I got lucky! A pleasure to my eye, a joy to play and hear... I am experimenting with the saddle now; the old one was too far out (see review), made new plastic one, and learning to make my own bone saddle - compensated type. Should work wonders for the tone. Lovely harmonics. First rosewood guitar I own, and so different from the cedar Seagull, the spruce/mahogany Sovereign. Strange how few Hashimoto's one can find information about on the net... I wonder how many were made, who F. Hashimoto was, etc...
