  1. Yes...I had throat cancer and had to relearn to speak and sing, I am much better at it now than before! How is that for a change in lifestyle!? Back on topic... I have acid reflux and keep it controled with omeprazolone on a daily basis. I also changed me eating and drinking habits to make this less of an issue, no late meals, no acidic foods when possible, sparse drinking. I am actually in the middle of a fasting period right now, tomorrow it wil lbe 10 days with no solid foods, I am going for 30 days so it's just one third of the way there; next week I stop my acid reflux medication and hope that I will not need it again, at least untill I break the fast. I sang today, most doo wop centerd stuff with a guitar player as the only instrument, I never felt better and never received so many compliments on how good my voice sounded! I had total control over it, I felt incredible! Whisper sounds were clear, influctions where audible...I loved it! Good luck to you! Rod Thanks Rod. Glad to know you came through. For the acid, I am on nexium. I'm hoping I can wean myself off it over time being vegan.
  2. I think its good to consciously practice releasing the jaw, like when at rest deliberately put a gap (like half a finger-width) between top and bottom teeth. I also find that breathing simultaneously through both the mouth and nose helps. Thanks. I'll practice.
  3. You don't have to go completely vegan. Just avoid over-eating and have a balanced diet, then you should be fine. And avoid anything that you feel triggers your acid reflux. For me cold desserts and heavily-spiced foods sometimes trigger it. If you have nasal mucus problems then you could use a saline nasal rinse to clear out your sinuses. I also suffer from TMJ issues. I think it might be helpful to train yourself from teeth clenching. And also to practice singing using your fingers to hold the jaw slightly back and down. These might relieve tension. I think changing the lifestyle will help with the acid. And I am on flonase for the draining and that seems to be working. TMJ is a habit I need to address. Quitting caffeine should help general tenseness. But I really am constantly clenching my jaw. I basically need to train myself to be a mouth breather. lol
  4. I'm losing my voice. I break up after singing 3 or 4 lines. I went to see an ear nose and throat doc a few days and he told me it was a bunch of sexy things happening to me. Acid reflux caused by boozing causes acid to wash over my chords when i do a reflux burp etc. Mixed with a deviated septum which is having mucus run back over them. Mixed in with my TMJ which is causing me to tense my jaw/larynx so I am never relaxed in that area. He said it is even visible when I talk when he scoped my vocal chords at how uptight I am in that area. I was already considering it but this tipped me over the edge to go raw vegan and quit drinking and quit caffeine. I'm on day three. Broke 2 juicers already. Has anyone changed their lifestyle and it fixed their voice?
  5. How do I copyright a compilation CD with 14 different artists on it? HCAF is putting out a metal CD recorded by forumites to send to A&R, radio, magazines etc etc.
  6. I have 5 planet waves cable station cables (10 ends, short cable) for linking pedals close together: http://www.web-design100.com/pedals.jpg I am replacing them with end to end jacks as the pedals are the same make/hole location. $35 shipped. It is basically this with less cable: http://www.guitarcenter.com/Planet-Waves-Cable-Station-Pedalboard-Cable-Kit-103403416-i1129339.gc
  7. IMO. She won't join. She's just torturing you. Women love to get a reaction. Cross that bridge if her leaving is imminent.
  8. 12-Space SKB Rack with Coiled Shock Absorbers Go to any search engine and type SKB 912u and see for yourself that this is not a normal rack case. Here are some examples of prices for this model (BEFORE SHIPPING!): http://www.cybozone.com/fg/skb.html $659.95 http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/SKB912U ON SALE FOR $550! (Same model number/specs, slightly different look) http://www.cases2go.com/shopdisplayproducts.asp_Q_page_E_1 (notice the smaller 10 rack shock is almost a $1000!) SKB Road Rack with Revolutionary Internal Shock Absorbing Design: The Shockmount cases feature an internal frame mounted on coiled shock absorbers on all 8 corners. These revolutionary shocks are designed to control the effects of shock & vibration on three axes. The "sway" space around the internal frame provides natural air conditioning... very important for delicate audio equipment. Plus, the SKB Shockmount cases are half the weight of the old wooden cases. SKB portable rack cases are designed with three things in mind: toughness to handle even the harshest handling conditions, light weight for easy portability, and innovative design to give you the best possible product to protect and transport your valuable gear. SKB portable cases have you covered. Extremely tough molded exteriors, integrated handles, strong and reliable latches, and stackable designs are hallmarks of the entire line of road-tested, lightweight, dependable SKB portable cases. NOTE NOTE NOTE!!! This is NOT the SKB19-12U. That is a cheaper model with NO shock mount. The shock mount cases like the one in this auction cost TWICE as much as normal SKB cases that you find in guitar center etc. NOTE NOTE NOTE!!! These cases are NEW. BRAND NEW. They are sealed and have never been opened. Inside is a sealed pack of rack screws to safely secure your rack equipment. DO NOT buy a cheap rack for your equipment. They tip over easily and can trash your gear by rattling them to failure on the road. This is a TOUR grade case, not a cheapie. I have many of these boxed, new, unopened and ready to ship. My storage space rental is up in 2 months time so I have to shift them FAST. YOU WILL BE 100% DELIGHTED with these cases. You will open the box and go WOW!!!! SCORE!!! The image makes the case look small (boxed it is 30x30x30 inches!). Message me for some better pictures. I have sold a lot of music gear on ebay. This is by far the best quality product I have bought or sold on Ebay and I am a gear nut! USA SHIPPING ONLY. The box is HUGE!!! Local pickup welcome Stuart, Florida East coast.
  9. A lot of Americans don't know what "Character" is. They like the barbies. So do i but saying a girl is ugly because she is not 'perfect' is pretty MTV.
