  3. Do the scallops fallow the fret radius? They can,but it'd be mostly cosmetic,I think. I'm just going for not touching the board,& the less wood you remove,the better,tonewise.
  4. I see... but don't you have to be careful with how hard you push the strings? You gotta be able to get some microtonal stuff, like in Indian music I'm no Gorilla-Gripper,& play 9's,so the pressure isn't an issue for me. Might actually try 10's on the next one,all your bends/microtones are smoother & the slightly increased tension might be OK,too. An old bud of mine played an Ibanez with the Traintrack fretwire with 11's,it was about as close as I've come across to a scalloped feel. Not too bad,coming from a 9's guy,actually...
  5. so... why scallop anyway? I like the clarity,personally. And the vibratos/overall feel. I'm certainly no "Shredder",tho... Good theft deterent,also!!!
