  1. this is an amp forum. It is what it is. You don't like it, I assume, but fret not. You'll be gone soon.
  2. Yeah your right Its such a dumb statement .... I mean you can burn CDs through Itunes(which is even available on the PC) Mac OS X Tiger actually has a very useful program called disk utility that can do all sorts of things with CDs and ISO images and such You can even play and burn DVDs. Certainly light years ahead of Windows out of the box.
  3. Ok cool Hey I'm a beginner here...just need to start out small laying tracks down Man, I'd love to work in Mac OS X if my stupid plugins supported Universal Binary. It's just so much neater and more comfortable doing stuff in Mac Alas I have to use a Windows partition in my Macbook... It looks like the complete transition to Intel will take another year at least. Hey, even Photoshop just very recently put out a universal binary version Of course, there are some alternative plug-ins to use in Mac with my Cubase 4, but who has the 1000$ to shell out for such stuff And no, even the pirate versions are not available yet...

One tooth brush per person and you can't touch a musical instrument unless you're in the military band

What I love abot Hansi's singing though, is how he's improved so much over the years. He was pretty bollocks in the beginning, but now he's one of the top metal vocalists around, with a very distinct, recognisable voice of his own. Nightfall in Middle Earth is a masterpiece. They haven't since put anything out that's remotely as good though
  8. Originally posted by Mr Ten la brie has gotten better, his range is weak, he used to be pretty poor, especially coming from a band of perfectionists, however, it's too late for dream theater to get anyone else. they're branded with him and a band with no james labrie is no dream theater, in my book. i'd love to hear the band with someone else but it wouldn't be the same band. I agree. I don't understand the comments about his range either, f he does have it, I haven't heard it yet. I'm no singer and I can hit 2 octaves + 4-5 notes (excluding falsetto). I don't think that's anything special. (Listen to Hansi Kursch of Blind Guardian freakish, that guy...) That said, he is really good IMO for the slower stuff like Hollow Years, Wait for Sleep, Space-dye Vest etc. However, he seems to be trying to sing classical when he should be "screaming," which does not go well with the music. Again, that's only my opinion. And no, I don't mean hardcore or emo type screaming, but rather the way Chris Cornell does it. I agree about Rudess also. Kevin Moore was probably the most talented songwriter in DT.
