I love the HD 24, it's awesome. Very easy to use. I was glad to rid myself of the ADAT XT's and LX's for that unit. I mean they worked good but all the cueing and syncing and all that was tiresome. This thing is instant! The Mackie is not my favorite but it works well for my setup. It has very convenient and easy to use routing options. I have had and continue to have some intermittent problems with it. I don't ever move it anymore so I've been able to get everything pretty much working. I still have a channel or 2 where the gain doesn't respond until you overload the input. It works fine for playback mixing though. Oh well, just can't track off that channel. I have gotten some nice sounding recordings off of this setup. I have enough mic's to choose from. I need some better outboard gear though. All the good stuff is in my live PA rig...... I'll probably swap some stuff out soon.
