  2. Originally posted by ct studio I have an HD 24 myself, and I agree with you about it being a really good piece of equipment. Have you gotten one of the 1394 Fireport interfaces?? Not yet but I'd like to. I have the ftp setup but I haven't given it more than a test run yet.
  3. Originally posted by 1620drum I have a Mackie 32 ch. 8 bus and Alesis HD 24 as well. Very cool, I bet you can produce some awesome sounds with that set up. I love the HD 24, it's awesome. Very easy to use. I was glad to rid myself of the ADAT XT's and LX's for that unit. I mean they worked good but all the cueing and syncing and all that was tiresome. This thing is instant! The Mackie is not my favorite but it works well for my setup. It has very convenient and easy to use routing options. I have had and continue to have some intermittent problems with it. I don't ever move it anymore so I've been able to get everything pretty much working. I still have a channel or 2 where the gain doesn't respond until you overload the input. It works fine for playback mixing though. Oh well, just can't track off that channel. I have gotten some nice sounding recordings off of this setup. I have enough mic's to choose from. I need some better outboard gear though. All the good stuff is in my live PA rig...... I'll probably swap some stuff out soon.

  5. Originally posted by gsHarmony I could be wrong, but I'm guessing you like Iron Maiden. Yeah, I used to be into them a lot. Cool art work, good guitar playing!
  6. Thought I'd post this this link to provide some amusment. I finally hung up a collage of crap I've collected over the years to give it some atmosphere. I really need to clean up the wiring and swap out some of the outboard gear now.... hahah, I'll get to it soon. It works though. Actually it's been getting a lot of use lately! J's Basement Studio
