  3. Doh, you already gave the answers. I got all wrong But i agree that dialing plays a great role.. I dont remember who exactly (could be zapman?) had MKIV clips with somewhat similar genre i think and they kicked some major ass!
  4. VHT 5150 Mesa That said, amp 1 sounds best for this clip/genre, whatever it is.
  5. Hmmm... I could JUMP on this but im really not sure if id like it more than the MK IV BTW, I must have missed you mention this but is this a combo or head?

You know my preference but i could still live with the g12's if i had to. Thanks for listening
  7. Yeah I prefer cl80's for the same reason as the last few posts aboce
  8. Originally posted by Rock_Borg I think the cl80 has a smoother sound but in a live/band situation it feels like they are not gonna cut as good as the g12-t75's. I migh tbe wrong though I think the mid would pretty much do the trick. I dunno. A friend in Turkey wrote some bass and drums and sent me. I recorded guitars on it. I didnt touch settings on the mark IV and with cl80's it still sits pretty good in the mix (this happened like an hour ago btw lol. I should stop recording {censored} and start my projects )
  9. Though this thread would be helpful to some people lol
  10. Originally posted by Defenestration I voted for the CL80 I'm actually debating which speakers to put in my cab to go with the EVM's i have in there...think i might go with the CL80's Can't go wrong. I have a feeling they'd sound pretty good with emg's. From what ive heard they have lots of high end? the emgs? if thats so cl80's will take away the unwanted brightness well depends on the amp too though which you have a kickass one as i can see
  11. Originally posted by Soulcrusher_X I keep saying that I would really love to have a Recto cab, but I just keep loving my CL80/G12T filled PV cab.....I guess I don't need a Recto cab. I think the only thing I might do is take out the two G12T and replace them with two more CL80s. Haha thats what im talkin about
  12. Originally posted by eyeball987 My laptop speakers are not very good so I will need to check it tomorrow on better speakers but I didn't really like the tone on either one. It has to be my speakers though so I will vote tomorrow. Please do ! I hate laptop speakers hehe.
  13. Originally posted by Locky the g12t75 sounded alot fuzzier on the rhythm guitar. But had a nicer high end. Combine the two and I think it will make for a great tone. The CL80 sounded alot nicer with the rhythm guitar Think im still in love with my CL80's They are sooo balanced. Good observations btw. I do like the highend on CL80s more (especially during the lead parts) because it's less harsh to my ears. Preference issue. The thing is, I'm pretty sure I would take G12-t75's over cl80s anyday for specific genres of music. But for what i do. nope. Thanks for checkin it out
