  1. Any guitar worth $500 or more as my skills do not justify the costs. I'm a trained saxophonist and I picked up the guitar to help market myself with bands. I'm a great saxman that can wail out decent solos, a good backup singer and just an average rhythm guitarist. Feel free to give me your 335 to ease your conscience.

You have to have a vice and a hackwaw to make the blanks, but corian is good {censored}, Maynard. I haz one customer who was burning thru nuts because of his insane whammy use. I put a Corian nut on his geetar and haven't seen him in a year. Well I actually saw him last nite and he's still raving about his nuts (DON'T GO THERE!!!!!) I had a guitar with a corian nut. I don't know, I wasn't a fan, but then again, the whole guitar was set up wrong.

  4. Have you considered a Hagstrom? Maybe a Deuce or a Viking? I just searched that. Wow, pretty good value on the used market.
  5. Update: I'd like to spend around $1,200 at most. Maybe a little more if I decide to order a custom Carvin. I'd like to buy a thin skin Jazzmaster, but those are very hard to find apparently. Might just go with an AVRI.
  6. Seriously? I had no clue ( not the first time)..I honest to god thought it was a typo or a joke. I deleted that post, cause the Klon pedal was specifically what I was talking about, and it did not read that way..Amazing. Must be a beast of a pedal.. Yeah, they're super crazy/expensive. Have not played one.
  7. How do you like it if I buy this guitar from him and try to sell it to you as a real Ric ? HOw about we make a title for all of the self righteous HC policemen to remove posts that are in violation of HC TOS? Oh wait, we have mods that do that. PM the guy if you have a problem, don't try to {censored} up a sale here. Oh, on topic I have a generic alnico bridge humbucker for sale for $15. 2 generic single coils for $5 each.
  8. I love mine. I think they're still kind of scarce at the moment, though. What do you love about it?
  9. I would think if you dig the regular model, the ones with the piezo would be more or less the same. If they're good enough for Petrucci, they're good enough for us mortals No {censored}.
  10. I remember you said you wanted a Petrucci sig model right? Have you tried one? Piezo, comfy shape and they look sick. Not sure about the versatility of the pickups. I can't find one with the piezo in my area, although that would be really nice to check out.
  11. PRS. take your pick of the aforementioned DGT, Mira, or the SC58 (or the Stripped version). There are so many options to be had with the PRS line. I had a black swamp ash special that sounded pretty good, but the bridge HB went microphonic. I found the neck to be a little unwieldy. What're some of the options? You guys might be right about the JM. I'm playing my parts-jazzblaster and its
  12. Then my recommendation becomes even more relevant. I'll have to give one a play. Not too into the looks of them, but I'm sure there's a few around that looks more traditional.
  13. for those of us who are not aware - what kind of music do you play? at the budget you describe, perhaps you are headed for a custom build? also, steak dinners are $4 in OK. I'm a jazz student who fronts an indie rock band. Think The Arctic Monkeys and John Frusciante had a 3-way with J. Mascis.
