  1. macadood reporting in! I miss all you doods and the old days. I moved on to collecting Japanese watches, musically changed to mostly synths and sold off a bunch of pedals, then sold off a bunch of synths. Haven't bought a pedal in years and it is freeing. Still have my booteek board, a vintagey Boss board, and a small vintage MXR board though! Hi Phil!
  2. I suppose. Have you ever actually tried to break a piece of maple lie that, though? It's difficult even with a chainsaw. i've seen enough brocken necks granted much easier to break it when its attached to the body but still. i wouldnt take any chances. especially considering stevenglass's history of 'over-bubble wrapping' items
  3. Yeah, but that stuff is also pretty heavy. Like...heavier than the neck. Anyway, I've never shipped just a neck before but I have had them arrive safely in long triangular boxes (basically a tube but triangular) filled with bubble wrap. I guess those people made them out of cardboard and a lot of tape? Or I guess these: http://www.packagingsupplies.com/Triangular_Mailers.html If you think about it, structurally, a tube is very strong from the top and bottom and very weak from the sides so something like that might be a bit sturdier? but it'll keep it from snapping in 2 at least when some clumsy UPS/Fedex/USPS workers toss it from the plane/step on it/play football with it. also, why doesnt phil just unban you already?? or just ban allybella too since youre breaching the terms of harmony central forums??
  4. I have and have had a bunch of Catalinbread pedals and never even notice the decals. They just look like nice screens to me, even close up. I know intellectually that they are Lexan decals, but they don't look cheap or "stickery" in the least. In fact, they look GOOD. If the decal thing is keeping you from picking up some of their pedals, it's keeping you from trying out one of the most consistently exciting builders of the last few years, IMO. :/ yes
  5. [video=youtube;XQBTsbL376g] meh not really my cup of tea. but on a related note just picked up a Formula no 5 in a trade and that {censored} is the bomb really likin it right now, my first Cbread pedal ever and its impressing me
