  1. I've never heard of PG before I'd started posting here (if that says anything about his popularity outside of guitar circles) and I honestly can't say he does a whole lot for me. To add fuel to the fire, I have to say I find more to enjoy in Clapton's playing. I see why EC became a household name, and I can't say I see that in PG.
  2. Oh I understand them...I just don't like them. I'm more of a verve guy myself. But I will give them credit they deserve...they've had a huge impact on music. Saying I don't understand them was a very subtle way of saying I think they suck. It depends what you consider an impact on music. I know there are many who listen to other genres who could give a {censored} less about Radiohead.
  3. How bout "none of the above"? Sorry...couldn't resist. Haha....good thing you said something before I did I don't understand Radiohead
  4. I had to steal one of my friend's guitars back for him...no {censored} One of the guys we were cool with at the time just kinda walked out of his house with it & said "Don't worry, I'll bring it back" Well, this guy has a habit of stealing things from other's houses and hawking the items for meth. Two hours later, I'm climbing through methhead's window to get the guitar back.
  5. That's your opinion. The fact is that Eddie is one of the best and most creative rhythm guitarist in rock. I'm sorry, yes that's an opinion. I'm sure you know that I'll never agree with your statement. I personally believe there were better, more creative guitarists (rhythm and lead) before Eddie Van Halen. I can probably think of a whole lot of music that you would like that can be argued as more creative than Van Halen. Unless Van Halen is your favorite band of all time and you have a crush on Eddie. Mike Campbell...well, to me, he does what he does and he doesn't do it badly. I feel he's a solid guitarist & the Heartbreakers have put out some noteworthy music. I totally agree on Dean DeLeo. I've always enjoyed his playing.
  6. Edward Van Halen (yes, he's one of the highest-rated guitarists in history, but I still don't think he gets enough credit for changing the way people play and BUILD the instrument as a whole) I disagree with your underrated list pretty much completely (I chalk it up to you being a mainstream rock fanboy)...but this is insane. EVH in no way, has influenced my playing, writing or guitar tone at any point in my life. I'm sure that's the case with MANY guitar players out there today. There is NO way anyone can talk about Eddie Van-F'ing-Halen being underrated. He's a glorified wanker IMO BTW: I do like Metallica pre-Black Album
