  1. I think what we need is a new clip from Honeyiscool to bring back the love. Honey - you listening?
  2. The sharps are great! They're like a magnet for strings. Which is awesome for leads but I eventually realized that pointed picks didn't feel right to me for rhythm. Have you noticed that at all or are you completely used to them? Yeah, I'm always experimenting with picks. It's cheap and fun. For me they're doing the trick for rhythm too. I just couldn't be happier with the sharps. I probably wouldn't have tried them if I didn't run across your post way back when, so thanks!
  3. Scolfax - a while back you told us about how much you liked the Dunlop Ultex Sharps. I went and checked them out and fell in love. I'm not interested in anything else. Wondering if you lost love for them or are just experimenting?
  4. What kind of guitar? String trees? How's the string height at that particular slot? It could be a few things, but if everything's in order otherwise, the slot may just need to be worked/smoothed out a little. MIM Tele with trees on 1 and 2 only. Aftermarket bone nut. I really can't go any lower with the cut, wondering if I just start smoothing it out with a deeper angle towards the headstock.
  5. So my 4th string has some annoying resonance when hit open. When I put my finger on the nut at that slot, or on the string above the nut (towards the head stock) it goes away. Looking for advice on what I need to do to get rid of the resonance. Thanks.
  6. Interesting thing is that there are no sebaceous glands on the human hands (i.e. our hands don't produce oils). Our hands get oily from touching other parts of the body.
  7. I saw part of that show today. What kind of guitar (electric) was Richie playing? I've seen him using them before. I didn't see it, but if it is the guitar with the triangle head stock - it's a Floyd Rose.
  8. Richie Sambora must be one of the most underrated and understated guitar players. I agree with that. Interesting thing is that he is quite bluesy.
  9. I thought my first good guitar was a Gibson Les Paul, then I bought an E.B. Music Man Axis Super Sport, rest is history.
