  1. I love my Cherry PP Strat-O-Sonic! I would say its close to a dual P90 SG.
  2. Semi Hollow Rickenbacker copy Custom made semi-hollow. GFS NYII singles. Chunky neck but narrow. Plays nice with big sound. Good condition, rough paint. $450 shipped lower 48 Definitely not cool mang.
  3. I'm piling on in favor of the reverend. I have a first year korean jetstream and it's been my go to guitar since I got it, despite getting into higher end stuff the past year or so. It plays great, sounds great, is unique yet classy, just an all-around great guitar. I'd love a US Reverend at some point. Hope the other dude doesn't get cold feet. That's the only thing I'd be worried about with this trade.
  4. I think your pup choice should work out fine. Don't forget a push/pull pot. I would probably use it in the tone position to be the least obtrusive. As to the OP, I've come to believe a lot of the Tele sound comes as much from the construction and materials as it does the pups themselves.
  5. Can't really go wrong with a deluxe reverb. Solid amp choice. Nice playing! The DRRI is a great match for your style.
  6. This thread inspired me to take anew shot of my Jetstream 390! Kinda fuzzy. Sorry. Probably shoulda used my tripod and timer.
  7. Reverends are so awesome! Love mine!
  8. Anyone played the hand-wired series? What are your thoughts on those? What about boutique clones like Hayseed?
  9. you're giving up an MIA Fender and a DRRI? i think he's getting the better end of the deal. I agree. It doesn't get much better than that for tons of classic tones, regardless of what the prices are.
  10. 1995, a Ric 650 Dakota for $600. OMG! Those are such bada$$ guitars!
  11. Another one I should have pulled the trigger on was a Parker PM20 at the local GC for $350. It was fantastic but I felt like I didn't really need another single cut 2 HB guitar and passed.
  12. I saw a DeArmond X155 at GC last year for $424. Went home to think about it, like I always do, came back the next day and it was gone. It would have been the perfect rockabilly type guitar. They go for $600 routinely on ebay.
  13. I love Zappa Plays Zappa, and consider Dweezil an incredible player, but this guitar is overpriced AND ugly. For some reason those two words seem to go hand in hand. And I've seen absolutely zero footage of him using this guitar. http://www.musiciansfriend.com/guitars/prs-private-stock-dweezil-zappa-ltd-run-9-of-50-electric-guitar
  14. This list looks different from the one I have in a recent RS. They must put these lists out every few years. Lists like these are for entertainment purposes only. No one takes them seriously, not even the people that put them together.
