  1. OT. For a guy that 'demands to be forgotten' about being kicked out of Tehtallica, he sure talks about them alot and wants his credit for it. Also, think I would stay as far away from an Explorer as I could if I was him...but, I'm not...and hes rich.
  2. Sucks compared to what it once was. Before you could type in (for example) 'Tama Snare' and get 3-4 pages and go back the next week, type in the same thing and get another 3-4 pages of TOTALLY different stuff. Didn't matter what you looked for, give it a week or two and your item was soon to pop up. Replaced alot of misc. hardware that way....now, yeah right....most buyers break things down into individual parts. Saw one dick head selling each lug individually...end up paying 600 all together for a 150 dollar snare. Now, phessh, its the same 1-2 pages of the same stuff week after week. Wouldn't be half bad if the price wasn't 10% percent less than buying it new. Agreed in it being Amazon 1.1....damn shame. The gems are harder and harder to find and the price gets higher and higher. When I sell, its a different matter. Always have tons of pics with a good description (not cut and paste from the website). Always get more than I want for it, people will buy what they want...just don't try to be like a business!
  3. I would have said SM7B in a pinch until I heard this comparison. See if you can tell the difference. www.homestudiocorner.com/2009/06/18/shure-sm7b-vs-sm58-with-audio/
  4. 24/48. Getting another external HD and going 24/96 for the next project.
  5. we spent more time trying to learn the equipment than working on our music. This should be the first page in the recording handbook. Just because you get something new and shiny, that doesn't now mean you will be any better. Have friends that still record on the FOSTEX and get amazing stuff. Felt bad when I bought all new pres, a fancy RME card and lots of other bells and whistles. The first stuff I put out sounded like I recorded on a boombox. And yes, I do find it very hard (with certain styles of music) to enjoy it instead of slamming everything about how it was produced.
  6. Not sure if this is an old topic or not (the search function on this forum is..hmmm), but what is the name of your studio? Is a throw back to your past, just random cool sounding words or did you take the ego..I mean EASY route and use your name? You in back, speak up for the class...
  7. Still voting for the reanimated corpse of Lincoln. ABE in 08!
