  1. I say we take off and nuke the entire thread from orbit. It's the only way to be sure
  2. how does a transparent overdrive have a really unique sound? it has to do with the crispness of the crystal lettuce
  3. I've used it on an acoustic before and it worked fine
  4. I can't honestly think about playing guitar without at least knowing how to fingerpicking a wee bit
  5. I guess it appeals to me that he's not too hung up on holding onto the materialistic items. Just sounds a bit healthier, but of course, not thrifty either. But no GAS is. no way on earth that's healthy
  6. I think it's easily the most important part of playing. You can make a song that sounds good with just a chord or two if you've got a good sense of time, but all the scales and modes in the world won't help you sound good if you can't put them where they need to be. can't agree more
  7. OK computer and Kid A are tied for #1 for me. The Bends right behind those 2
  8. fist of all, I love the White Stripes, like Zep very much, and sort of like U2. They've got some good stuff, but I don't listen to them that often watching this I thought: -The Edge is really down to earth and cool. I really liked his parts. His story itself was really interesting as well -JP was pretty down to earth as well for being a "rock god". And I also loved how he still seemed like a little kid who still has that magical love of music and playing guitar (like air guitar-ing to link wrtay) -Jack White was trying too hard. He came off as a bit pretentious. I mean, he's always been eccentric, but he's pushing it a bit too far now. And the hey I'm a southern country guy vibe he's had lately? Dude's from Detroit yo
