Sheez...I don't think you can do better for $69. I've used them as overheads, cymbal mics, acoustic guitar and they've sounded good. That said...I have the russian mics. I think (?) what might be at GC now is chinese models, I'm not sure. I know plently of others here know though. I don't think theres any reason for alarm, but I'd like to hear what people say about the differences. I don't really keep track since I already got em.

Hmm, not the albums I've been listening to. I don't listen to any 'SCREAM INTO THE MIC AS LOUD AS YOU CAN' metal though.
