  1. Wow, hard to name just one fave. Best I can do is to call it a tie between Tommy Emmanuel and Doc Watson.
  2. Only a figurehead I tell ya'. We pulled this off to conceal the true royalty of the kingdom. We might be ignorant, but we're not stupid. Get with the program..... Actually, the King's being in a dungeon is okay with me. I have a very willing consort at my side.
  3. And tell'm Poppy sent ya' And elect a King who gets himself tossed into the enemy dungeon at the beginning of a major battle.
  4. Some of them are kinda pretty. If I had a beater, I think it would be fun to change the bling from time to time. Wouldn't put 'em on my Martin or Guild, though.

Only got two gits, so I have equal amounts of solid mahogany (Guild GAD-25) and HPL (Martin D12X1). Been gassing for another 12-er which will be a jumbo and have maple B & S.

I spilled beer on my beater and it dribbled down the soundboard into the hole.
  7. I thoroughly enjoyed this thread and I'm glad it popped up again. When I get the bucks, Mr. Binh will build my next git. Marc, when the time comes, would you mind acting as liason for the build? You have a good eye and ear and I'm sure with your help, the new git will be all that I hope for.

Very nice indeed !! Happy NGD. Congrats and Enjoy!
  9. Thanks for the fascinating tour, Marc! I enjoyed it greatly. I've perused many threads in which you've posted pics of Mr. Binh's guitars and really want to order one from him once I'm back on my feet. Been gassing for a spruce/maple jumbo 12-er, but that Cambodian rosewood is gorgeous, too. I wish I could hear some clips of the hybrid. If it sounds anywhere near as good as your F65ce, it will be a treasure!

Hello, Tommy, Welcome to our little zoo, and congrats on your new guitar!! You will get excellent advice here. First of all, listen to everything Gary Palmer, Guitar Stringer, Freeman Keller, and Bjorn Fjiord tell you. They are our resident luthiers and will give you expert advice. Opa John's advice is right on, too. There is a lot to be learned at Frets.com - great site. Glad to assist whenever we can, so don't be shy about asking questions.
