  1. I moved the post you're talking about to the spam thread where it belongs... but now your posts look completely out of context. Sorry about that. THANKS! and sorry! my bad.
  2. haha, wow. my mistake. quite embarrassing. I had two windows open, one for the spam section and one from a search about the best way to ship a guitar neck... sorry... i hope i at least supplied a few laughs
  3. I don't think the arena players are really pumping that much sound through their stacks - they would be killing people down in the front rows. The "wall of sound" is mostly a bunch of fake cabs for show. Most of the volume comes from the PA. So when you think about it, what's the point of an amp that is loud enough to melt the shell off a nuclear reactor? Can't really use it? You're trying to tell me this wall of Marshalls is fake?!?!
  4. YOu never know what you may find under the paint. When bodies get done the QC types take the best ones and send them to get clear and trans finishes. The rest are paint grade. Almost every time you strip a painted guitar you end up seeing why it was painted in the first place. +1 ... i stripped my tele to find that it was 7 pieces with a veneer glued on top of it... lots of visible glue spots to fill holes... and to think some people say squiers are just as good as fenders... however my tele got a new paint coat and sounds just fine, so it doesn't bother me... poly is tougher, but doesn't allow your guitar to breathe and vibrate the way a nitro finish does (i personally can't hear a difference and anyone who says they can is full of themself) nitro wont rot your brain if you use your brain... (BY WEARING A RESPIRATOR!!!!) Also if you chip the finish on a nitro-finished guitar, its easily repairable, because new lacquer melts into old lacquer, where as you don't have that convenience with poly finishes.
  5. i had my skateboard stolen when i was in like 6th or 7th grade, and at the time, that was the equivilent to my guitars... it was the worst feeling ever knowing that someone went through our garage with the purpose of stealing it... recently my best friend had his house broken into and had his first bass stolen. (along with every dvd he owned, his expensive laptop, his xbox, ipod, and other things) it crushed him for a while... i could never imagine doing that to another person... stealing is stupid, not worth it, and i would NEVER think about stealing from another person...
  6. anybody wanna take a gibson sonex off of my hands? original pickups. black finish was sanded off around the body to give a binding look. the finish on the back of the neck was sanded off to show off the wood. it has its nicks and signs of age. but still plays great. its a players guitar, not a collectors... interested? PM me, and i'll get you some pix. $450 shipped to conus.
