I used them to create a cubicle style set up in my livingroom to multi -track some african drums... they worked ok, essentially I feel like it enabled 'good enough' isolation that I could later just gate out *most* of the other instruments... which worked ok for the level I'm at... it certainly cut down on the higher end sounds (slaps on the djembes) from the guy next to you, and I'd roll off some of the lower end stuff... to help you create a 'soundbooth'... well that's exactly what I do with these sheets as well, but more for mixing... not for monitoring during recording... I'm kinda doubt these would be that effective for that... they wouldn't hurt, but prolly not going to help tons.... just my experience. good luck...
